Dan is founder and Executive Director of Veterans Yoga Project. He is a licensed clinical psychologist and yoga teacher specializing in the mindful integration of Complementary and Alternative approaches with evidence-based psychotherapies.

Deb Jeannette | Long Island, NY
Deb’s interest in yoga began in 2003 while on a personal journey of healing and spiritual growth in Sedona, Arizona. After much self-reflection, she decided to leave a corporate role at the end of 2014 to pursue her passion of teaching yoga and being of service.
Kristine Ringler | West Point, NY
Kristine is a yoga instructor at the Greater Newburgh YMCA, NY, a kayak guide at Storm King Adventure Tours and a Research Associate at West Point.
Sean Silvera | San Anselmo, CA
Sean is on the board of directors of Veterans Yoga Project where he is committed to being of service to veterans suffering from PTSD and the trauma of war fighting. Sean also teaches mindful yoga to incarcerated veterans inside San Quentin prison, under the direction of Prison Yoga Project.
Bharti Temkin | Arlington, VA
Bharti has been doing yoga since 1960s. She had a successful yoga studio in Ft. Collins, Colorado, she was Iyengar Certified in 1994. She is a mathematician who loves yoga, and is following a path of using yoga for reflective-resilient living.
Perry Chattler | Castro Valley, CA
Perry ran a small, high tech business for 35 years. He stumbled into a yoga class in 2003 and never looked back. He completed a 225-hour teacher-training program in 2011 and completed his Veterans Yoga Project teacher training in 2014. His interest is in yoga therapy and bringing the vast benefits of yoga to people of all ages.
Dr. Lauren S. Zapf | Virginia
As a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and approved clinical supervisor (ACS), Lauren has worked with diverse men and women in multiple therapeutic settings, including in residential and outpatient drug treatment programs, universities, legal systems, and hospital emergency departments.
Christian Allaire | San Francisco, CA
With over 20 years of military service in the U.S. Coast Guard, retiring as a Senior Chief, Christian successfully transitioned into financial services. While gaining valuable private sector experience he simultaneously pushed hard into the world of yoga discovering the transformational nature of the practice.
Matt Taylor | Phoenix, AZ
Matt discovered yoga at his sports medicine health club in 1996. As the owner of the club and a back care expert, he was amazed when after just two months attending the weekly yoga class his chronic back pain was essentially gone.
