host a Fundraising Class
Throughout the year, yoga studios and yoga teachers from around the nation conduct fundraising yoga classes to help raise awareness and funds for Veterans Yoga Project. In addition, every November during Veterans Week, yoga teachers and yoga studios from around the nation conduct fundraising classes on behalf of Veterans Yoga Project. Through the generous donation of time and space, yoga studios and yoga teachers raise awareness of the issues faced by our Veterans and active duty Military personnel, and raise much needed money to fund our programs.
These events are very well attended, and provide great exposure for local yoga studios and teachers, as well as provide a way for the local community to give back to our Veterans. In 2015, studios and teachers held over 400 classes and events across 40 states and 3 countries (including Canada and Japan!), attended by over 1,000 yogis, raising awareness and much-needed funds for Veterans Yoga Project during Veterans Week. Thanks to you, we can continue our mission.
You can help! You can hold a community/donation class to benefit Veterans Yoga Project. Please contact us for additional information about setting up fundraising classes. We can provide assistance and materials to help set-up and organize these events.
