Mindful Resilience Yoga Teacher Training

Curriculum

What will you learn?

As a Veterans Yoga Program graduate, you will head into the world confident and ready to begin your teaching journey. You leave our 200-hour training with all the skills you need to lead safe, empowering, and grounded Mindful Resilience Yoga classes. You also learn how to offer modifications, posture options, clarification of contraindications, and how to create a complete series of classes with progressive levels of difficulty.

Format: 

Two 8 week online sessions, two nine-day intensive onsite sessions

Online Session 1: March 15-May 17, 2020
Online Session 2: June 14-August 16, 2020
In Person Session 1: May 28-June 6, 2020
In Person Session 2: September 10-19, 2020

Location: 

In Person Sessions - Feathered Pipe Ranch, Helena, MT

Curriculum

This comprehensive program covers all aspects of yoga with a special emphasis on:

  • mindful resilience and trauma awareness

  • intelligent sequencing

  • anatomy as it relates to asana

  • yoga philosophy and

  • articulate, clear instruction.

Students will also learn:

  • the business of yoga,

  • how to navigate the many challenges of a classroom

  • find their unique strengths and voice as a teacher.

The training will cover in depth the sustainability for a long-term alignment-based vinyasa practice, while also exploring various traditions including Hatha, Vinyasa, Gentle, Adaptive and Beginners yoga.

Eager and curious students will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the true meaning of Yoga so that they can then impart their knowledge with confidence to others.

Eligibility:

Must be a veteran or active duty personnel. At least 6 months of yoga practice and 6 months of meditation are required

Requirements:

Attendance and participation throughout all four sessions, both online and in-person.
Completion of all outside work, including written assignments and reading.

Cost

Veterans who are accepted into the program will be expected to submit an $500 deposit that will be refunded in full upon successful completion of the program. All other costs - including books, manuals, travel, food, lodging and transportation to/from lodging - are covered upon acceptance into the program.

Application Process:

A $500 deposit and completed 200-Hour MRYTT Application must be submitted. Additionally, applicants must complete the Waiver of Liability and Code of Conduct Forms upon acceptance into the program.

Notice of Participation: 

Applicants will receive notice of participation by January 15, 2020

Upon completion, students will be able to register with Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher at the 200-hour level, RYT–200.
