Dennie is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served as a Corrections Specialist at both Camp Pendleton, CA, and Camp Hansen in Okinawa, Japan.  Although she had aspirations of making the Marines a lifelong career, her time was cut short after being sexually assaulted by a fellow Marine.  Once separated, Dennie began seeking ways to cope with PTSD and MST, and unfortunately kept turning down one wrong path after another.  It wasn’t until she was introduced to yoga and meditation that she finally felt a sense of ease and peace in her life, and she knew in her heart that she wanted to help empower others as well.

Dennie became a certified yoga teacher in January 2015, and went on to complete Level One training with Baron Baptiste, as well as the Art of Assisting with the Baptiste Institute.  She also completed Level One training with Veterans Yoga Project in August 2015, and now offers complimentary yoga classes to veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and their family members.
