Originally from Santa Barbara, CA, Capucine (Capi) began practicing yoga while living in New York nearly twenty years ago. In 2005, she earned her 200-hour yoga teacher certification from Exhale Spa, under the tutelage of Isaac Pena and Jude English.

Capi has also trained under Marsha Danzig M.ed, RYT 500 through her Yoga for Amputees program and holds certifications through the Integrative Yoga Therapy home study program, Elise Browning Miller’s Yoga For Scoliosis, The Veteran’s Yoga Project’s Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery, the Niroga Institute’s Teaching for Youth as well as their 400-hour Advanced Yoga Training Program.

Most recently, Capi reached her goal of becoming a Certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), the highest accreditation awarded within the field of yoga instruction. 

In addition to leading vigorous and challenging Vinyasa yoga practices, Capi also appreciates working with individuals of all ages challenged by chronic conditions and disease, pain, injury, and emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, insomnia and PTSD among Veterans Yoga Project.
