Changing Lives. One Breath, One Heart at a Time

Veterans Gratitude Week began in 2014 with a simple act of generosity. A handful of yoga teachers decided to honor Veterans and military families by offering donation-based classes and then invited others to do the same. What began with one person igniting a grassroots effort turned into a nationwide movement, united by one purpose: bringing healing, resilience, and hope to those who have served.

Today, we invite you to come together to honor and support those who have served with any one of three acts of kindness: Host a Class and Fundraise, Pay Tribute, or Take a Donation Class. With your help, we hope to inspire 500 yoga classes or fundraising events.

Be a Part of the Movement

Host a Class

Turn teaching into outreach by taking a regular class you teach and make it into a donation-based class. Or create a new class, workshop, or other event to offer your personal or yoga studio community, friends, or family. You can also participate by hosting an event, like a walk, bike, run, or even a cooking or painting night!

Register your event and we’ll promote it on the VGW 26 map of events.

Fundraise

Bring your family and friends into the fun! Set up a personal peer-to-peer fundraising page, share why you’ve gotten involved, and describe your class or event.

You can monitor your progress and share what you are doing to support Veterans with your community!

Make a Tribute to Honor Veterans and Service Members

For those that have personally impacted you, take time to reflect, remember, and honor the Veteran or service member in your heart.

Your tribute will have a special place in the Veterans Hall of Gratitude, so we always honor and celebrate the specials ways they contributed to our lives. Your donation tribute not only honors your Veteran, it continues to give the gift of yoga for future Veterans, their families, and caretakers.

Alternatively, you can donate without making a tribute here.

Move with Gratitude

Please join us by hosting or taking one of our donation classes. As we are gaining momentum, please come back and check the schedule often.

You can find a class on the map below.
