MONICA MULLER / KINGSTON, ONTARIO, CANADA
Monica is an experienced 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher registered with the Canadian Yoga Alliance and is Director of Canadian operations for Veterans Yoga Project (VYP). As such, she co-leads VYP Level One trainings, taught at VYP's first healing retreat for Montana veterans, and is the organizer of VYP's first healing retreat for Canadian veterans. She is the owner and manager of Op Yoga and a Spiritual Healer along with being an accomplished painter and musician. She completed Mindful Yoga Therapy for Veterans Coping with Trauma Level 1, Mindful Resilience Training Level 2 and received Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Meditation with Warriors at Ease and is completing her 300hr Hatha YTT.
Monica is an accomplished Reiki Master who is now qualified as a Foundational Practitioner of Reconnective Healing after receiving Reconnection Healing Lvl I and II and Reconnection Lvl III. In her spare time she enjoys painting portraits and plays accordion.
Monica background includes: retired civilian servant with 36 years with the Department of National Defence (DND), spouse to a military member, and daughter whose father fought in WW2. Monica experience as VYP Mindful Yoga and Meditation instructor to Veterans, First Responders, Spouses, Inmates, the Kingston public and US Veterans includes: VYP Week-end Retreat for US Veterans at Feathered Pipe Ranch in Montana, HMCS Cataraqui Kingston, Operational Stress Injury Social Support (OSISS) Peer group meetings, OSISS Family group meetings and OSSIS workshops with DND, Frontenac Community Mental Heath and Additions Services, Royal Military College of Canada and Queen’s University research study for those exposed to trauma due to operational exposure with the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research, and Canadian Corrections Institutions in Kingston teaching inmates under Freeing the Human Spirit program, as well as her students at - Op Yoga. Monica brings her compassion to all those that have suffered and are healing from Trauma, be they courageous Veterans or First Responders, or those wanting to turn their life around in prisons. Her spiritual passion has equilibrium and is all-inclusive.
